Villa Mae Hong Son is a stunning holiday rental villa set against a backdrop of virgin, jungle-clad mountains, emerald rice paddies and a meandering river in the north of Thailand. The entrance to the Villa's stunning countryside grounds is adjacent to an imposing Thai temple just 12 kilometres  out of the northern Thai town of Mae Hong Son.

This breathtaking location inspired us to create a truly unique Thai vacation rental that would allow guests the opportunity to enjoy not only the idyllic villa setting, but also all that the northern Thai province of Mae Hong Son has to offer the inquisitive visitor to Thailand.

Mae Hong Son is sometimes known as "The City of Three Mists", reflecting the natural and spiritual charm and enchantment of this mountainous outpost.

The Villa Mae Hong Son will reflect local Thai architectural motifs and is designed to exist in harmony with its surroundings, taking maximum advantage of the spectacular, panoramic vistas and views it enjoys. It will offer three bedrooms, a private swimming pool, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and will blend outdoor and indoor living with observation and relaxation decks.

Above all, the villa will ensure privacy and comfort in a unique setting, where untouched nature and tranquillity may be enjoyed, and where guests may simply relax, swim in the pool and  enjoy northern Thai cuisine, or head out to discover the natural and cultural riches that epitomize this province.

Travel to Mae Hong Son: flights and getting here

Mae Hong Son was traditionally difficult to access, but with the advent of the new airport it is now a brief 30 minute flight away from the northern capital of Chiang Mai, and may be reached on a number of airlines serving the destination.

Those driving by car or perhaps even riding a motorcycle to Mae Hong Son often do so to enjoy the unique experience of the twisty road that winds its way between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son. This road passes  through some spectacular, highly picturesque scenery, where waterfalls and breathtaking panoramas abound. The road is famous for its 1,864 dramatic bends and is referred to as the "Mae Hong Son Loop." The route heads out from Chiang Mai to Mae Rim, Chiang Dao, Pai and Sopphong to Mae Hong Son, and then back to Chiang Mai via Khun Yuam, Mae Sariang and Mae Chaem.
